CM200T won´t start... endless troubleshooting
Robo Boogie said 2011-10-25 01:24
I bought an old 81 Honda CM200T a couple of months back, and I was able to get it running beautifully after replacing the carburetor (it was actually cheaper just to buy a new one than buy a cleaning kit!). One afternoon after a long ride, the bike slowly puttered out and died. I refilled the fuel, changed the spark plugs, bought a new battery, and bought a volt meter (although I don´t really know how to use it haha) and haven´t found anything wrong with it! I checked the air filter, and that seems to be fine as well. I am quite frustrated... Fuel is definitely getting into the carburetor, and after draining it it seems to not be related to that. The initial symptom to me suggests that fuel might not be getting to the engine, however I don´t know how to A) diagnose that or B) fix it. Any and all suggestions are welcome, I need to get back on the road!
