1982 Suzuki Gs450A solenoid question |

Hi my name is mark and i own a 1982 GS450A yes automatic, bike is in great shape for its age and was an everyday rider for me, my solenoid took a crap and i cannot find one to match. Unlike all other solenoid relays i have seen, mine has two wires coming from the solenoid and has a two wire connector (factory) what is the other wire for? I wnet to state8 motorcycles and purchased a solenoid with one wire, connected it and nothing...yet i can jump the solenoid and kick the starter, so i know my starter is good, and i get 10-12 volts to the wire going to the coil when i puch the button to start, so i know my on/off switch is functional, but no matter how i wire the 1 wire solenoid i dont even get a click...that part SKU is 31800-44500, and has two wires sautered on yellow-green and blue-black. Any info would be a great help. Thanks MT |
