RE: Kymco 250 Scooter

Live in Stockbridge, GA, about 20 miles SE of Atlanta. I have essentially two bikes which I ride on a regular basis, mostly for pleasure, as I have a 2007 Chevy Impala Super Sport and a 2007 Mazda 6. My clear choice of a bike if I am going some distance would be my Kymco People 250. I like the reliability of the scoot, the build of it, the fast acceleration and top in speed. A 500cc would be a bit of an overkill in the area where I drive and would use almost as much gasoline as a car. My second bike which has given me no problems whatsoever so far, is a Chinese built TANK Urban Racer, 150cc. I ride them alternatingly, always have a backup for scoot riding. I must admit there is a world of difference when I ride the Kymco People 250. It is so strong and wholesome and keeps up with most any sane traffic. Gets around 70 mpg too. Since I am a bit older I like the retro styling of the People 250 as opposed to the People 250s. I like the large wheels and it rides very comfortable. I do wish the speedometer was more prominently in MPH and not in KPH. And, of course, the odometer is not in miles but is in kilometers. So at fill ups a lot of conversion has to go on in your beanie. Joe
