I AM LOOKING FOR THE COLOR CODE OF THE ALMOST COBALT BLUE, BUT WITH A TINT OF PURPLE IN BLUE PAINT FOR THE 1987 883 SPORTSTER. IT WAS THE ONLY SOLID BLUE FOR THIS YEAR ON THE BIKE. I WANT TO GET THE COLOR CODE AND NAME OF THE PAINT FOR THIS YEAR AND MODEL SO THAT I CAN PAINT AND OR POWDERCOAT A NEW FXR I AM PUTTING TOGETHER. THERE ARE MANY BLUES HARLEY HAS USED OVER THE YEARS, BUT THIS WAS A SPECIAL BLUE METALFLAKE OR CANDY COLOR A VERY VIVID BLUE,BUT WHEN YOU WALKED AROUND THE BIKE YOU COULD SEE A LIGHT TINGE OF PURPLE OR WHAT LOOKED LIKE A LITTLE PURPLE IN THE BLUE COLOR. IT WAS PROBABLY ONE OF THEIR MOST BEAUTIFUL BLUES EVER USED ON A HARLEY. I AM SURE THAT THE COLOR WAS ALSO USED ON OTHER 1987 MODELS, BUT MY BIKE WAS A 883 CUSTOM OR 883 CLASSIC WITH THIS COLOR. ANY INFORMATION ON THIS COLOR AND POSSIBLY WHERE I COULD GET THE CODE AND OR PAINT IN THIS COLOR WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATEDC. GREG @ SURFNBU@AOL.COM.
