The F1 indicator on my GSXR 750 W (1998) comes on when the engine has reached 77c, the engine then dies on me. I wait for the temperature to drop to 60c, say, start the engine again, the F1 indicator has gone. I continue for a mile or so, when it reaches normal running temperature the F1 light comes on again and the engine dies.
