usually the gas evaporates out of the carb and then it is a PITA to get gas back to the right bowl when the bike is on the side stand. This is what I do after it has been sitting for a while.
1) put bike on center stand 2) Pull choke 3) crank motor 3-4 times times, ( 4-5 seconds each time ) 4) twist the throttle 2-3 times and crank for a few seconds, repeate this step until the motor pops off. 5) once the motor pops off, hold throttle open about a quarter turn and crank. you\´ll know what to do from there.
