Every now and then, one will pop up on e-bay but not hat often. here\´s the message that I sent to another person yesterday but this is only good if you have the trunk installed where the passanger seat should be.(The trunk is held down by the two lock levers for the saddle bag/helmet locks at the rear of the bike. The main key should open these locks. Once they are open, lift themand push them forward to release the trunk from the bike. Inspect the two rubber bumbers that should be on the top side of the frame. Yoy also need to check that the bottom of the trunk isn\´t broken where the retaining hooks are located, that is what I found on mine. Go to this site (www.hondaparts-direct.com) and look up your bike under OEM Honda parts/motorcycle/honda/1982/GL500i. Look in the frame section at item #3 for the rubber bumpers. Rear fender shows locking unit for trunk and under GL500i rear trunk section you will see the rear trunk and item #2 is the hold down for the trunk. Hope this helps you.
