they were $4100 new, but, with the way gas prices are, it will pay itself off if you choose to use it on the street. my 2005, 225 gets 65-70 mpg with me riding it, i\´m 230 lbs. they are not real fast, but fun to ride, my wife learned to ride it and got her MC endorsement. that is low miles, i would buy it for sure. i ride mine as much as i can in the warm months to save gas. later.
