25 to 35 mpg is about typical for a new bike of that displacement. I have a \´05 Bandit 1200S, and that\´s the mileage I got for the first few thousand miles. Then it got better and better - I was getting 48 on the highway (at about 70 mph) by the time I had 10,000 miles on the bike. The B-1250 should do even better, with its more modern engine.
