you problem might be ither flooded carb or if u have it on the side stand it will drain the gas out of the right carb (and th choke is supposed 2 be open with it closed your only burnin gass but with it open u are buring gas and air) so leave it on the main stand over night 4 a change and try it then. also ur problem might be one cylender isnt fireing.. so get new spark plugs and spark plug wires its the best way to go with an older bike. so in other words use the choke untill it fires up then put it half open half closed and give it a chance 2 warm up and turn the choke 2 th open postion and it should work :) happy trails
