Hi Cris, YOur right on! Are you at altitude, I find my at 300 feet MSL above sea level runs rich, Might drop the e clip a notch , but I must say ITs a difficult time,. Try removing tank,(that means seat too) remove entire shut off valve pull thru frame. you might get a chance to remove top of carb. to access carb float bowl. hum, I removed my sub-frame lossed air box adn alll fenders. and teh air box Stays with sub frame as its removed by 4 bolts. I am not expert , had to change starter. it woudl hang, what a difficult had to remove chain tensioner and try to reach with 8mm ground down 1/4 drive socket. ITs tight.
ME neither I an old thumper from 60´s adn I need to lose 50 lbs. so why worry over light bike stuff.
YOu might also consider, a 51 or 52 rear sproket , Look at Side winders. an Awesome spoket, either Iron man or tri-metal. REmember one tooth in front equal around three in rear, small front requires more HP and wear chain as its moving faster for same HP
Its a nice to hear from you "EFS" From the saddle
