Hi, I just purchased a 2005 myself and went out ont the highway for the first time. I was surprised by the power of my little Rebel. I got it up to 65 mph with a pretty strong wind in my face. Just make sure that you shift into 5th gear long before you get to that speed. I count the gears as I go. Your owners´ manual spells out the shifting for best overall conservation of fuel. You should be in 5th gear by the time you get over 31 mph. So, venture out and have fun. A fairing might help with high winds. Remember to give that last look before changin´ lanes. Those semi trucks will blow you off the road. |
