That is a find!! I have a similar story with mine, a 1976 400RD as well. Bought it from my grandfather who had it sitting in his shed for 5+ years. I did what you did, sans a new battery, air filter and tightened the chain. Wow is all I gotta say especially for a bike that is 4 years my senior.
