The GT550 is very reliable and ajoy to ride.I had mine since 1990 and while I dont ride it much these days,it always fires with the choke and until its warm it burns some oil in the exhaust.Tyre pressure is criticle for best handling and any tyre´s seem to suit.Every thing is set up well and balanced so extreme weather is not a problem. Its a heavy bike and sits the road well.Ive restored the bike about 9 years ago and the crome and alloy need doing but the motor is strong so that wont need anything done. The starter has been disabled however its not a hard bike to start. The electrics are reliable. Its a shame Suzuki went away from 2 strokes and they are user friendly and trouble free.
