i have this bike and although an excellent allround bike, this would be to much power for a learner, i know you say u will take it easy............NOT :) but you will not be able to help yourself, it is too addictive. it has a shit load of power and lifts in 1st and second gears without jerking or use of clutch. its a chitload of fun and gives the big bikes a run for their money. also has excellent handling abilities, also at high speed , ie: over 200+. I have a Yoshimura RS3 carbon pipe and sounds sweet :).well, all the best with you choice,highly recomended. Have fun :)
