hello not a mechanic. that knob is the idle adjustment screw and will only increase or decrease your revs at closed throttle. your problems with poor running are the same as my tt is doing. and i have no solution as yet so would hope someone out there has the answer. my symptoms and circumstance are the same so would indicate poor fuel or gummed carbs.
